Kauffman Eye Care provides extraordinary medical and surgical eye care services to the Eastside of Indianapolis and surrounding communities.  We approach your eye care as a team, made up of the doctor, our skilled staff and you.  We strive to create an atmosphere of understanding and ongoing patient education.  The result is an environment most suitable for maintaining and improving your eye health.  Patients are treated with compassion, dignity and respect in our state of the art office setting.  We are honored that you have chosen to join us in improving your eye health.

Our Team
Chad R. Kauffman, DO

Dr. Kauffman received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Goshen College in 1998.  He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and then completed his Internship and Ophthalmology residency at Grandview Hospital and Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio.  Dr. Kauffman worked in private, group practice as a comprehensive ophthalmologist from 2007 until 2015.  In 2016 he established Kauffman Eye Care on the Eastside of Indianapolis.

 

Dr. Kauffman is a Board Certified Ophthalmic Surgeon.  He specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology including cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, diabetic eyecare, macular degeneration and dry eye.  He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive

Surgery, the American Osteopathic Association, the Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology and the Indiana Medical Association.  Dr. Kauffman lives in Indianapolis with his wife and three young boys, Andrew, Carson, and Alex.

Brandi Compton, COA

Brandi is a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) in the allied healthcare profession.  Brandi joined Kauffman Eye Care in March 2016. She is originally from Las Vegas, NV.

 

Brandi started as an ophthalmic assistant in 2003 in Las Vegas. In 2009, Brandi moved to Indianapolis and quickly found an Optometry practice to join. In 2010 Brandi decided to further her knowledge and began working in Ophthalmology. By August of 2011, she obtained her certification as COA through the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO) certification program.

Brandi performs routine clinical and administrative duties under the direct supervision of Dr. Kauffman.

Jennifer Caldwell, COA

Jen is a Certified Opthalmic Assistant (COA) in the allied health profession.  Jen joined Kauffman Eye Care in March 2016.  Jen is from Centerville, Indiana.

 

Jen has worked in ophthalmology for the past thirteen years.  She is a happily married newlywed. She has one daughter and two step daughters. Jen enjoys her job especially interacting with patients every day. Jen performs routine clinical and administrative duties under the direct supervision of Dr. Kauffman.
